Exploring Drawing Techniques and Drawing Materials: From the Ice Age to the present.
This image of mine brings together two different images by Picasso and creates a new composition. It features on the left Nusch Eluard and Dora Maar on the right, both associated with the Surrealist movement. On the Completion of his Masterpiece Guernica Picasso took a needed break and headed For Mougins to be near the sea and sun. A group of Surrealists accompanied him, Man Ray, Paul Eluard and his Wife Nusch, Dora, Roland Penrose among others. All seemed to have had a good time, but I have tried to catch the feeling of languorous boredom, when Picasso disappeared to his studio to paint. I have used certain colours to catch the heat and the mood. In the drawing I have combined front & profile views in the heads.
