Art Works > Exploring Drawing Techniques and Drawing Materials: From the Ice Age to the present.

I have long admired the Drawings of Hans Holbein the Younger. Holbein was from the Northern Renaissance period. He worked for Henry V111 recording the Tudor Court. I feel the portrait drawings of Holbein of the court and others of more humble background are the beings of a more secular type of work. He had the great ability to capture character and almost the inner thoughts of his sitters. Some of his great drawings can be viewed at Royal Collection Windsor.
