Titanic Elegies. Gerry Gleason. 2012. Dedicated to Dr Robert Ballard.
They say that due to a mild winter 1911-1912 the sea levels in the Atlantic were higher than usual and the largest field of ice for 50 years was crossing the shipping lines. The Titanic,at near full speed, was entering nature's great game of chance. The image tries to capture the great ship after the collision, surrounded by a field of ice, on a clear night, calm waters, a distress signal, no hope in sight.
