Exploring Drawing Techniques and Drawing Materials: From the Ice Age to the present.
In this drawing-mixed media work, I have brought together in the composition elements of Modigliani's work and Soutine's. The portraits of Soutine by Modigliani and Soutine's still Life of a fish. The first being the elongations and Elegance of Modigliani style and Chaim Soutine's more expressionist work. Bringing together desperate elements to fuse and make a composition. The use of a white crayon repelling the watercolour in the hair and Ray fish. Soutine was a great friend of Modigliani and they visited the bars of Montparnasse a hot bed of creativity and exchange of ideas during that period.
