Art Works > Global Warming Series. Gerry Gleason. 2021-22. Supported by The Arts Council of N. Ireland (Creative Individuals Recovery Programme Grant).

During the last years of his life Leonardo da Vinci became aware of great forces of nature that can overwhelm humanity. This image is based on his tempest and deluge drawings. In the clouds above the valley the mythical Gods blow up a storm using trumpets. The results of this are landslides of mud and rock the dam has broken flooding the valley. We are starting to see erratic weather patterns happening due to global warming. Leonardo's disturbing vision is now a reality. (after Leonardo da Vinci).
