I have always liked Degas's Absinthe Drinkers, his was an interior so I have changed my version to outside in the Empire's walled garden Belfast. Today after veiwing Rembrant's six great etching at the Ulster Museum, I had a quiet pint at the Empire Belfast, cold but lovely light outside, staff as always careful and courteous, well run. I prefer to be outside if I have a drink, as I can maintain social distancing, wearing my mask if I have to enter the building. Sadly these are not normal times so it is worth staying safe.
