I always felt that Vincent van Gogh drawings of the Potato Eaters and other works of that period showed an affinity with the poor. Having a poor diet and undernourished they would have fallen victim to this virus having few reserves to fight the Virus and aid recovery. The sitter sits nervously with the virus hovering within reach. A work made recently as recent statistics have shown who has been the most vunerable to the virus in our society.
