Titanic Elegies. Gerry Gleason. 2012. Dedicated to Dr Robert Ballard.
A tiny spec on the surface, the last lifeboat has left, the perished gather accusingly
on the mammoth bones of the ships keel, men women and children on their lonely boney vessel.
They stare at us over the distance of time, to make sure it should not happen again.
I would like to dedicate this body of work, to the memory of all those, who lost their lives on the Titanic disaster.
The laws that were put in place, to provide adequate lifeboat allocation for all after the disaster, should be constantly monitored, updated as required and defended at all costs.
