The pocket watch in this image has been in my possession for a long time, I have simply
used it to indicate the generally agreed time of the collision and the sinking of the ship.
The engineer is in the vast bowels of the ship, man and machine almost combined, the ship's
engines whirling to the bitter end. The losses to crew of the Titanic were horrendous at approx
78%. The grief of the families left, not only with their sense of loss, but also of the loss of the only bread winner in many cases.
