In the photo you will see myself and a young Belfast artist Jim McKevitt, who decided to travel with me and help with the installation. We started gathering materials from skips and pound shops as we did not have a lot of money for materials-this,I think,is the best way to get to know a City,go where the local people shop etc.It was interesting to be in the East side of Berlin,the wall had gone and a lot of art activities were happening in alternative spaces,it seemed to me to be an optimistic time.
