Marie Thérèse Walter was a very athletic person who loved the sea and swimming. Picasso made a series of paintings and drawings of her by the sea, playing sports swimming etc. In this work I have made a composite of many drawings of that period. Most of the work that he made in that period seemed to be surrealist nature. I have tried to catch this in my drawing. It is good to try many different types of paper and coloured papers in your drawings I have used Ingres paper in this particular drawing.
