Art Works > Exploring Drawing Techniques and Drawing Materials: From the Ice Age to the present.

The Centaur of the early Greek imagination BC, appears on the Pantheon Frieze, consists of part Man and part Horse. The Centaur also appears in Roman mosaics and the medieval period. In this image the time span jumps from BC to the present with the inclusion of the tank. The sculpture like porcelain is fracturing in battle showing it's fragility. I have used brown ink in this image and changed to cartridge paper. The use of many different type of papers can stimulate the sense of touch (papers from rough to smooth). The rough and knot papers may suit dry materials like Charcoal and chalk better. The fine grain I find better for pen work though rules can be challenged with great results.
