Exploring Drawing Techniques and Drawing Materials: From the Ice Age to the present.
This work was inspired by Degas's painting of Women Ironing, Picasso also interpreted I think Degas's work in his painting of a solitary woman ironing. Degas drawings and paintings are a great example of masterly work to learn from. I Have tried to imply movement and the drudgery of the work involved. This would have happen in the sweat shops of Paris and the Magdalene Laundries in Ireland and beyond.
