For the Siege series (see previous image). You will notice on the side of the canvas I had attached Crenellations to give a fortress effect, I felt at times during the N.Ireland Troubles as if, from the point of view of my own personal freedoms that I was living in some kind of man- made fortress, albeit at times for my own safety but in the end oppressive. Other pictures had numbers etc. attached to the side of the canvas stretcher to play off against the image on the front.
