This image tries to convey an unheated winter interior. The people who live below the poverty line have to make hard choices, between buying adequate food to survive or heat their home. The young woman sits
before a well- meaning little electric fire, its function is to provide heat, but it is little more than an ornament.
I dedicate this image to the memory of Vincent van Gogh.
